For a different historical perspective on New York – I give you the really cool website ‘The Roaring Twenties’. It actually covers 1900 through 1933. It’s a combo of things like noise complaints, backgrounds of radio recordings, movies etc. Very cool stuff.
My grandmother was born in the Bronx in 1916 so this was fascinating to me.
