Newsflash…

stitchmediamix:

You don’t love T’challa, Rhodey, or Sam if the only time you can conceive of them having any importance or worth is when they’re taking care of your white faves.

T’challa’s importance doesn’t hinge on what he does in the ending scenes of CACW.

Rhodey doesn’t exist to clean up Tony’s messes.

And Sam?

Sam sure as hell isn’t signed up to be the on call therapist for the Avengers and even if he was? He still doesn’t have to be viewed as “nice” to everyone at the cost of his own agency.

If that’s the characterization you cling to, then no, you don’t live these Black characters. You love the idea of how they can help or heal your white guy faves in fandom and can’t fathom them having any actual lives, goals, or motivations beyond that.

If all you can bring to the table are frankly racist “black character as nanny/caretaker” headcanons, you don’t like e the black characters you claim to adore.
