Can anyone tell me what kind of bird this feather came from? @mackincaid?
It was found on my lawn in the Finger Lakes region in NY. My current guess is that it’s a wing feather from a Turkey Vulture…but none of the images I can find online have quite as square a tip.
And, yes, I know that the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918 makes my possessing this feather illegal. I like to live dangerously.
