The Sam Wilson Birthday Bang is an event that brings writers, artists, and other content creators together to collaborate on great stuff to be posted on AO3!
First, writers will begin writing fanfic. Then artists will each pick a fic from an anonymous list of summaries and create something cool (fan art! gifs! pod fic! playlist!) based on that fic!
Then we all post our stuff together during the last two weeks of September to celebrate Sam’s birthday!
Everything that meets the deadline and complies with our rules will be added to our collection on AO3 and promoted by this blog!

we designed our event to be a “mini-bang” with a relatively short schedule and low word count requirement because we want as many people as possible to be able to participate during this busy fandom season. So don’t be shy. DO IT FOR SAM.
