So if Rian Johnson, Kathleen Kennedy, and TLJ are so progressive, can I ask some questions?

Why couldn’t have Rose Tico been the hacker? It’s not unrealistic for the Resistance to have one. She could still think her skills aren’t useful considering most Wars have been won by soldiers and Jedi, not hackers. Why couldn’t she have understood Finn’s trauma instead of ignoring it? Was there any reason she hated Rey?

If TLJ was about “Understateding the monster under a mask”, as Ruin swooned, why didn’t we get any time to understand the REAL victims of the sequel trilogy, the Stormtroopers, that were the kidnapped child soldiers that were forced to become fighters in war they didn’t start?

Why couldn’t Captain Phasma, one of the most markted characters, actually have a character arc? Why did she have to die so pointlessly and with no development? What was the point in giving her so much promotion and backstory, then flushing it away?

Why couldn’t have Holdo worn a uniform but had it customized? Regardless of what anyone says, heels and ballgown is a drastic and problematic way to fight in battle. Where does she even keep her blaster? Why couldn’t have Holdo been a leader who could communicate well instead of belittling another character? Why did she share only 1 scene with her life long friend Leia and why did another OLD character have to die?

Why did the cool, calm and responsible Latino leader Poe suddenly have to be a trigger happy fly boy? Why couldn’t we watch him struggling along with Holdo to keep their people alive? Why couldn’t have Poe gone with Finn? Why is conflict the only thing Ruin can write?

Why couldn’t have Paige Tico actually got a decent amount of lines and an actual character arc so we could care about the character and her relationship with Rose? Why are so many woman and characters of color killed off with no development or even impactful reason?

Why did Rey have to have her character arc be about saving her enemy instead of training with her mentor Luke and growing as a character? Also why did her look have to be changed to more feminine? Why couldn’t have Rey spent any time learning about who she was instead of just being a supporting protagonist that was taken out of the movie by the 4th act on Crait?

Why was most of Finn’s scenes deleted and had disappeared? Why did Rian Johnson believe that Finn’s character arc would still make sense even though 45% of it had been altered or cut? Why didn’t we spend any time learning about how Finn feels fighting against his fellow child soldiers or even a solid answer if Finn is force sensitive? Why couldn’t Finn spend any time with Rey and Poe or even have a character arc that mattered to the main plot of the movie?

Why were the two veterans of Star Wars, characters that literally were integral in the last trilogy and advertised as the heart of the film, reduced to supporting characters that are barely used? Why are the OLD characters expendable and unrelatable, and it’s acceptable for them to die or be defeated but our new heroes are the hope? Luke and Rey’s relationship was said to be the heart of the film, as was Kylo and Leia’s, yet they’re barley interacting. Why does ageism effect such a “progressive” movie?

Why did Ruin Johnson say that there was no point or time for Finn’s deleted scenes, A Han Solo Funeral, Luke mourning Han, Rey and Luke screen time, the Knights of Ren, ANYTHING about Snoke, Kylo’s feelings about his family, or anything else above but we got plenty of time Ben Swolo, Porgs, Canto Bight, frog nuns, shit humor, an unnecessary 4th act, and Luke being a bum?

Why is this movie looked at as the best of Star Wars when it didn’t do anything to raise the bar and destroyed most of the world building 8 films made prior?
