Net Neutrality is Dead and You Can Expect Your Internet to Change on April 23rd

Yeah, no, I’m cross-tagging because the lack of attention this is getting overall is pissing me off.

Ajit Pai killed Net Neutrality. You’ll start seeing the effects you were warned about on April 23rd. Oh, and he apparently got an award for Courage from the NRA gun nuts, too.

You can still help by calling your senators and representatives. We just need ONE MORE PERSON on our side to get the senate portion of Congress to overrule the FCC’s decision to kill net neutrality. The battle for the net won’t end there, but it’s a start. Go to battleforthenet to find out who your reps are and where they stand, and CONTACT THEM.

Twenty-three states are also suing the FCC for this. I haven’t looked into it yet, but I assume big businesses like Google and Amazon are as well. Nevertheless, we can’t rely on lengthy lawsuits alone. The changes to your internet start in less than two months. We don’t have a whole lot of time.

Blow this up. Contact your reps. Please, do something! We HAVE to get the decision overruled!

This has been breaking my heart and making me cry all day. The news broke very late last night and details came this morning. A team of boys traveling to a playoff game, t-boned by a semi. There were twenty-nine on the bus, fifteen already confirmed dead. 

These kids weren’t ‘prospects’ or potential future NHLers. This is Junior A and these boys – and they were boys, 16-21 years old – were playing for the love of the game and the chance for a college scholarship. For many of them, it would have been their last go-round of competitive hockey before transitioning into their adult lives. For the coaches and broadcaster and the volunteer statistician, it was love because the pay wasn’t worth it. 

There is a GoFundMe for the team, for funerals and for the survivors, many of whom have severe injuries. 

And this is a screenshot of the Facebook comments from the ER attending at the closest hospital, who saw every victim and watched parents laugh with joy at their son only being a paraplegic. Because it meant he had survived.

According to the Russo brothers, Hawkeye is on his own journey during Infinity War and he is in a special spot in the movie

We all walk into the first screenings of Infinity War. We sit down with our popcorn and the lights go down.

Blurry motion on the screen and the sound of heavy breathing and footfalls are all we get for a few seconds, and then it freeze frames on CLINT BARTON, running through a street in New York, being chased by several men with guns.

VOICEOVER
Okay. This looks bad.

The rest of the movie is just Clint fighting semi-organized crime in Bed-Stuy for two hours. Occasionally, in the background, you see the rest of the Avengers battling Thanos, but never for more than a few seconds and usually just on a television on mute. 

In the post-credit scene, Clint and Kate are eating pizza at an outdoor bistro, Lucky under his chair, all three of them covered in bandages. Clint checks his phone and discovers he has thousands of missed calls and texts. He opens the Avengers group chat and texts, “Did I miss anything? *crying with laughter emoji*” 

Smash cut to Bucky Barnes, looking down at his phone, asking, “Who the hell is Hawkeye?”

I am in a bit of a tight situation now and will be for a few months.
I am going through something difficult in life because of family reasons but technically I’ve been kicked out because of my beliefs and differences between me and my soon to be ex-spouse.

now that i’m technically a resident of 1 have been financially been cut off and barely have any money to or buy the things I need (food/necessities).
