I went to Oakland Cattown Cafe and it was awesome.
A friend from out of town (hi, Holly!) is visiting Oakland for a few weeks, which gave us the perfect excuse to visit somewhere I’ve been dying to go — the cat cafe! Oakland Cattown Cafe is associated with a shelter, so the money you pay to visit the cats is actually a tax-deductible donation to the shelter. Holly made our reservations online, so they were $10 each (it’s $5 if you drop in and…
Cattown is awesome. They have a tumblr (that isn’t active right now) and are on insta and fb. You get updates every time a cat gets adopted.

FIND SAM’S BIKE!
My friend Sam is supposed to ride the AIDS Lifecycle in less than a month, BUT HER BIKE WAS STOLEN YESTERDAY. If you live in the SF Bay Area (specifically Oakland), keep an eye out for this bike! It’s a 50cm Cannondale Synapse; though it’s a men’s bike, it has a women’s seat. Sorry about the shittiness of this photo, but it’s literally the only one we have.
PLEASE SIGNAL BOOST THIS! Take it to Facebook, Twitter, instagram, I don’t know what the hell people are using these days.
And if you can, please also donate to Sam’s fundraiser, so that even if she can’t ride (because someone stole her fuckin’ bike), we can still contribute to this worthy cause: http://www.tofighthiv.org/goto/sames
Thanks y’all, I love you. ❤
