Because of his physical enhancements, Bucky Barnes needs more calories than he did before Zola and Hydra got to him, but because of Hydra conditioning, he has trouble recognizing when he’s hungry.  And he gets irritable when his blood sugar gets low.  Fortunately, his friends have realized what’s going on, and know that when the deadly metal-armed assassin starts acting like a cranky toddler, he needs a snack.
