Yeah. So first of all, The Winter Soldier undoubtedly comes prepared to kick your ass. He’s not going to find himself without a weapon. The thing is, even if he does somehow blaze through the frankly astonishing amount of accoutrements he arrays on his person, he’s still not going to find himself without something that will kill you. Even if his arm is put out of service (or blown off, RIGHT TONY) he’s not going to be without something that will kill you.
Apparently the Winter Soldier’s arsenal is officially pornographic material…..but we knew that already didn’t we.

So … Bucky was a three-time YMCA welterweight boxing champion by the time Pearl Harbor happened in December of 1941.
At the time, under the regulations of the New York State Athletic Commission, welterweight was a weight class of 147 to >160 pounds. Pictures of 24-26 year old ish (which would be pre-war Bucky) Sebastian Stan provided. For Science, of course …
That’s a 6′ welterweight.
War-time Bucky? Was not a welterweight.
That … that is not a 6′ welterweight. Even accounting for the padding in the uniforms. Meaning that the Army packed at least 10 pounds of muscle onto pre-serum war-time Bucky. When you’re as lean as this motherfucker is, that is not an accomplishment the US Army would have been able to do lightly.
Post-war, post-serum Bucky?
The Winter Soldier is not hitting the gym. The serum seems to have added at least 20 pounds to Bucky’s pre-war muscle mass.
That is a 6′, 200 pound get out the way, okay. So between pre-WW2 Brooklyn and Bucharest, the serum put at least 40 pounds of solid muscle and probably thicker, heavier bones onto his frame. Not to mention the metal …

I DID IT! i finally finished Bucky’s short haircut!!! and i also picked up his Howling Commandos uniform from GeeWhiz Customs (thanks @tinybuckylife for pointing me to their website <3) the quality of this outfit is AMAZING! *u*
Yes it can! – this jacket is totally based off of jackets that actually existed/were made and worn by members of the armed forces! I think it was mostly WWII flight jackets, but I could be wrong there. Example!:

what i’m getting at here, though, is that you can totally headcanon the howlies having coats like that/buck and steve making coats like that for themselves in the modern era/making one for cosplay because fuck yeah reasonable plausibility
